March 12th through the 20th Marlin from Marlin Crawler and myself, Wyatt Scott of RockSolidToys, will be going to Australia to install the first Marlin Crawler into the current generation Hilux. Hilux Max is the lucky recipient of this little jewel.

It will be going into this truck.

The install will be covered by 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine here in the states and by Australian 4WD Action magazine in Australia.

Other companies that will be represented there are DeMello-Offroad and BudBuilt.

I'll be posting up daily reports of how it's going over there and may try to set up some kind of live feed while we're doing the install. It should be a blast to spend an entire week with Marlin in Australia.

The crawler is somewhere over the pacific ocean right now. Good luck and watch out for those "friendly" Taipan snakes when you guys are crawling around on the ground.

Also check your shoe's in the morning for Funnel Web and Red Back spiders :nerv:

While there, you to should look into filling a container full of those front axles they got all over the place over there, tranny's, t-cases, and diesel motors.  And you know that Marlin will just be crawling all over each one of those rigs that they get and we don't here in the states?  You just might be late for the plane ride home!   :rofl2:

Hey guys,

I would like to publically thank Marlin and Wyatt for making this happen.....this will surely open a lot of peoples eyes up here in Australia as crawl boxes are a new thing here and will open alot of options for alot of people.

Crawling isnt as big here as it is in the US but hopefully with all this we can change that slightly....

thanks guys, looking forward to meeting up with you both and sharing some "real" beer whikst slapping that baby in.

  :driving:

What constitutes real beer down there?  Please don't think all american beer is as tasteless and bland as buttweiser or coors, we do have tasty brews like arrogant b*std  ;)

Took Marlin down to Wyatt's house yesterday afternoon. :driving: Arrived there at about 5:30pm (traffic was horrible as usual down in the LA area). Loaded up their car, and Wyatt's wife took them to LAX. Their flight left at 10:30 p.m. Hope that they sleep some on the plane going there. From LAX to Sydney, it's a 14 1/2 hour flight. Then from there, they will have another 1 1/2 hour flight to Melbourne. Should arrive there about 5pm California time. They will be there sometime Sunday, Australia time.
