a\c compressor conversion to on board air

OK, dumb question.  I ran a 16ga wire from the AC compressor clutch wire to the pressure switch.  The other wire runs to a switch to turn the clutch on & off.  Does this switch need to be larger than a 15a or 20a?  Do I need to run a relay with this setup rather than just a switch?  I'm not sure what kind of amperage we are talking about with an AC clutch.

No u don't need a relay, you should be fine.

OK, another stupid question.  How does the AC system get it's power to power the clutch on & off?  There's only one wire coming out of it and that's the wire I hooked up to the pressure switch.  Do I need to run a wire from the battery and have the switch inline between it and the pressure switch?  I'm making this more difficult that it really is but I want to hook it up right the first time without frying wires

i just ran a wire from the fuse panel under the dash to a toggle switch to the pressure switch,

if you pull it from a circuit that is only hot when the key is on you dont have to worry about accidentally leaving your clutch engaged all nite and killing your battery.

you cant use it without the engine on anyway

Do you think I need to have a bolt in this upper AC compressor bracket?

It's got 3 other bolts holding it to the block.  The bracket & the threaded hold through the timing cover & block don't line up and I've already got the compressor installed and all the lines ran.

It will most likely hold, but Toyota put the bolt there for a reason.  I would take the belt off, loosen all the bolts for the bracket, and than add that bolt.  Or if that doesn't work, you can take the bracket off and drill that hole out a little bit to get even more play.
