We are leaving Fresno at 6. Stopping in Shaver for some breakfast. Should be on the trail around 8-8:30ish.
If I hit it just right, I might make it.

Next time we need to do a little more trail exploring.  When the snow conditions are better on the trail the run should be longer.  Getting closer to 03-20-10.  Next SNOW RUN!!! :welcome:

Yea, that was wierd... Didn't cut any new trails, didn't get stuck, didn't even have to snatch that hot guy in the white tacoma out of a hole!!!  :eyebrow:
Literally stayed on the trail the whole time, drove into the campsite and just sat around  :bull crap: ing and watching everyone else show off.  I still had a total blast!!!!

p.s. Thanks for the pics JROCK... so who has the cutest dog on the hill????

Jrock...you heading up there again in a few weeks.  We are hoping to hit the snow again saturday the 20th of this month.  The Sponge Bob Stalker Jeep and I will be up there for sure.  Another couple guys in the Over the Hill Gang will be attending as well.  If you do not remember, I was the guy eating a hot dog in one hand and a piece of pizza in the other!!     Even thought we are stock rigs, we do pretty well up there.   The winch also helps us if we do get stuck.  Sponge Bob, I'm blushing!!!

My truck has the stock E-locker on it.  All I can say is that 35's or larger are the way to go in the snow.  33, like I have just do not give you the belly clearance.  Makes for my truck clearing a flat trail since I drag.   Why are IFS such a pain to deal with?? :shake_head:

Lets get more peeps to go on March 20th.  I can't wait to see your 4 runner with the bigger tires, etc.  Will your locker still work with those big tires??  I have seen some guys put 35's on stock IFS systems.  Major fenderwell cutting and mods.  Looks kinda crummy.  With an IFS system, you need 6 inches to run 35's.  I maybe at 3-4 max.  Anyone want to donate a dana 44 front??

I saw 35's on a stock setup.  Internet.  They showed the templates needed to cut the inside of the back fenderwell and how much outside cutting as well.  They had to weld new fenderwell plates in.  Seemed like lotz of work.  Those darn IFS lifts, the  6 inch are $$.  They also drop the front clearance down.  Better to put a straight axle in it.  Does Marlin offer that stuff for the newer Tacomas???

I've seen 38-40" on stock IFS at Hollister. The steering BLEW UP coming down one of the roads into camp.

38's stock on IFS??  Thats crazy.  I think that max size for IFS and still strong is 33.  The newer trucks are made to do some 4x4 stuff but just like anything, the older stuff was made to last and punish.  Darn Technology!!!

David is going, low-rider is trying to get the day off  :turtle3: , Dayle is out of comission   :rivers: major stinko, I'll call Brandon and Mark ( just can't give 'em too much advance notice or they will forget by the time the 20th rolls around  )
Maybe monk will go... I shouldn't have to call him though, he should've read this by now...
maybe I will invite your favorite mechanic  :moon: but you will have to put on her chains    :stopit:

Yep, let Mark and Brandon know.  Low rider and anyone else would be great.  Monk..we need you to go!!  Come on man.....
The more the better.  The weather should be perfect.  Sunny with snow.  A few more months and the snow will melt.  Yes, we need a High Tech Mechanic to be there incase of breakdowns!!!
