We'll probably go out 24 to Woodland Park then up 67 past Deckers; going up 25 then west looks to be interesing to say the least. I have a friend in WP where I might be able to stay Friday night to avoid driving so much Saturday morning... we'll see what washes out.

Do you know where to go from there? The trail is in one of my books.

Quick Draw

Hmmm....uhhh.....I want to go...  But there's going to be a couple of factors for me:

1.  The condition of the roads.  Square d-shaft and lockrite means 2WD only on the highways, unless they're really nasty.  I don't mind driving in adverse conditions, but coming all the way from Ft. Collins it could be an issue.
2.  The condition of my truck.  I haven't taken it out since November... and I don't remember what all needed attention.
3.  My time schedule.  I probably have plenty of homework, and actual work parting out my car that needs to be done.
4.  The skiing dilemma.  I kinda want to ski...

So...I have about a 50% chance...  Matt, I will let you know if I can make it.  Otherwise, don't count me in just yet.

I'll ask my friend Andre if he wants to... Oh... Hmmm, 2 seater 'till the meetup. We'll I'll see if he still wants to go, maybe I can get a couple of guys they can go the Denver route to carpool.

What happened to the guy stationed at Fort Carson? Not your brother in law, the guy that Dan had mentioned.

Jakesteads

i never talked to him but i found out a couple more people are going to be all ready up there wheeling a bit earlier than us....

make sure you set dans alarm its not just meet thats gonna be waiting on him  :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum: :tantrum:

Don't worry about me; I plan on going to bed early Friday and waking up at like 6 so I have more than enough time to get up there and to beat the weekend traffic on 24. How many other people/rigs are going? I'm totally bringing lunch and fuel too; kinda doubt Domino's delivers out there...

Damn.  My t-case cracked for what seems like no reason at all?  I just looked under my truck and it was puking gear oil.  So I'm out for next weekend, and probably several upcoming weekends.  I have to finish dismantling my car, then cut up the shell and get it out of there before I can use the garage for my truck.

Forward shift or top shift?  What part of the case?  Dual cases?  4.7 gears in the rear case?

There's always t-cases laying around the pull-n-save down here for $75.  You could just swap the t-case or just swap the part of the case that's cracked.

It's a top shift 4.7 rear case.  I've got a spare case from the crawler build up.  So it hopefully won't cost me anything....provided the internals are all okay...  It will just take some time.

Thanks.  Yeah I have a copy of that all printed off already from the first time I did this...  I really don't know what happened...  I'm curious to find out as soon as I can get a spot in the garage.
