I was just talking with my brother yesterday, he had recently bought a new laptop pre-Windows 7 release. He got a free upgrade offer from the maker of the laptop, when he tried to install it, it killed his laptop. He has been pulling his hair out trying to just get it back to being Vista. When installing 7 it required that all his programs be removed, and it seems this is where the problem stems from. He did what he should have and did a restore point but guess what that was one of the programs that 7 dumped. They even told him to wipe his hd clean a start new......    um HELLO HE ONLY HAS AN UPGRADE not a full version. I think he has a Toshiba and it seems that they've been having a lot of trouble with this, in fact they seem to be burnt out on it since their techs keep getting frustrated and hang up on him.
