Not my cup-o-tea, but whatever floats your boat -- it oughtta help prevent scratches.

On the bike, I'd be concerned about 1) added weight and 2) rough as a cob when you fall & get sandpapered by whatever part of the bike scrapes against you.   :ack:

Save your money on both.  The prep needed to make it stick is much more labor intensive than most people are willing to do and it will likely flake off soon.  I see roll on bedliners all the time and they always seem to be flaking off.

Why are you worried about the look of your downhill bike?  Does it still do what you bought it for?  Are you worried people on the trail will think less of you because your bike looks used?  My old mountain bike looked like complete ass by the time I retired it and I preferred it that way.  My current ride is still super clean despite being 14 years old and it just makes me leery of using it.

Id rather have a bike thats got wear, then to have a brand new one and looking like a poser.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

well my truck is already bedlined..i was wondering if anyone else has done it. i love it=) and for the bike..yeah falling down and gettin hit would suck...but it would help the metal from getting dinged up so bad.

it is nice man.  I put the hurculiner on my ol' mans truck and turned out pretty good.  Just have to make sure ya get it on thick enough.  We got ours from autozone for like 80 bucks for 1 gallon.

kneedownnate nailed it on the prep, the kid I got my 83 from put some of that cheap crap on from the body line down, I picked and peeled almost all of it off by hand. He did NO prep at all. It started to come off after a couple trips to the carwash. I have no idea what brand it was but it wasnt very thick.

mines holding up great besides the touch up crap that i bought. the stuff in the cans suck. i took a belt sander to my truck for prep. used 60 grit (not trying to make it pretty) got the prep done in 30 minutes with the help from a buddy. the cheapest and best crap to get is plastiq or w/e from wal-mart. its like 30 bucks a gallon and goes on thick. its a steal. im gunna put another layer on it this summer
