Bob and dove are nice!  Do I see a dent in the driver rear side of the bed just rear of the tire?  If so what's that from?

yota87 ya that was my motivation for the bob and dove. i smashed it in one night trying to take the hard line around some guy stuck on the trail ( rubicon ) i slid off the rock and into his bumper. turns out it broke him loose too so he was stoked as well.

Haven't been able to do any work on it lately. been real busy with work. One thing i never got to do was test it out on a flex ramp and check underneath it for any binds, kinks, stresses and what not. I didn't find any thing except i need to do some trimming on my passenger side front wheel well. up in side it rubs on this wierd box thing where my turn signal plugs go into. i'm going to see if i can just unbolt it and run the wires somewhere else. Here's a couple of  :stopit: pics. HaHa i didn't have a ramp so i just stacked a bunch of :pokinit: and drove up on it.

Here's the pic of the bed trimming i did. just used some painters tape to make a straight line to the back at the height i wanted. then i used mostly a cut off wheel and then a sawz-all for the part that is reinforced underneath. after that i went to a pick n pull and snagged a piece of door trim off of some beat car and siliconed it to the edge.

If you take out 13", your bed will be the same length as a double cab bed so you could still put a shell or soft top on. That's what I did with my last truck, now I have a double cab haha

anyone took a sun/moon roof off an older gen and put it on there truck? been pondering the idea and was wondering if there are and negatives towards the idea. i know obviously if i flop it could break and if i don't get it right it won't seal but are there any other draw backs?

It'll never seal properly. I wouldn't do it

Nice work man, looking forward in watching this thread grow. Once you gear down with a Lefty or a Marlin Crawler T-360 dual case you will FREAK OUT with the improvement and wonder why you waited so long  Going from 40:1 to 220:1 will blow your mind!

Thanks Big Mike. i was also thinking about selling the front axle and getting a toy axle and the adapter to run toy geared t cases. They are so much cheaper than the taco setup.

You could always go with a right-hand drop Diamond or Ruff Stuff Specialties Axle to get the proper width.
