ya. ARB's are kind of far right now. lockrites front and rear are what i got and they work just fine. and i can afford them. and im also just going with 27 spline axles. at least until i break, then ill do major upgrades/ ive got most off the parts for the sas but still missing some stuff. its coming slowly but surely. ill see if we can make it again in march but i doubt it.

I guess the best thing to do is collect the parts you need slowly.  Are you using a specific kitfor the SAS?

im getting a collection of parts from trail-gear and marlins. so parts i like from trail-gear and some from marlins. i needed the heavy duty leaf springs from trail-gear because my runner is a bit heavier then most 2nd gens. so it varys.

Keep me posted on how your SAS goes.  I know for tacos, All pro makes a pretty nice kit.

All pro products are great.  The cost, scarey.  I think Trail Gear prices and selection are the best.  For me, I would have to use a driver side axle.  Lefty vs a righty .

All Tacomas are driver side output on the transfer case.  Older trucks are right side.

I think trail gear has some great deals on crawler boxes.  Even for us Taco, people, they make great stuff!

ya. trail gear aint that bad. ive gotten alot of my parts from them. im also going to be getting those 6 shooter knuckles. ive got the arms already and they are so much beefier than just the standard 4 shooter arms. those are going to be sweet.

Not being a buzz kill but I would limit TG talk to a minimum.  Everyone has there own opinion on parts, most here would not touch them with a 10 foot pole.

. im a weekend wheeler as well. im not sure if that was me or not. i live in kingsburg. is copper river ranch in fresno? mine a 1990, the first year they made  4 door. ya i plan on doing everything myself. my brother in law works at marlins. so he has loads of experience doing sas's and building tranfercases and everything. so i just need him to tell me what to do and im doing all the work myself. should be a fun experience.

I'm new to this scene again.  Did the 4X4 in high school and college.  Why is there bad vibes with TG and Marlin.  Curious.  Cooper River Ranch is in Fresno near the Golf Course.  1990, nice year.  4 doors are a nice advantage.  Does Marlin do SAS on Tacomas?  Curious.  Most everything is geared to the older stuff.

I've heard a lot of stuff about TG myself and I have a Jeep!!! I think it's not all about the product, it's partly the way they do business. Even on the trail you could be layin upside down in a ditch and they wouldn't even stop to see if you had a pulse.
