Odd knock in the engine
« on: Jan 11, 2010, 09:54:38 AM »
so i just finished a gasket overhaul on my 22r. Snugged everything up and put it back in the truck. driving to school today i noticed a werid knock coming from the motor. Its not constant like a typical knock (like from the rockers)  its just steady then goes away when i let off the throttle or sometimes it just stops by its self...then kicks up again. any idea what it might be?

well as i sat in my truck again, i noticed it was SPEED related...like i can rev my engine tell the cows come home and that noise wont happen...but once i hit 45-ish its comes outta no where and it SOUNDS like from my engine compartment. i took my hood off when i did my engine...do u think if it was mounted wrong it would make some sort of fast motion causing a sound like a "knock"..plus it was really windy today
