I think a flat arm would hit the frame when turned, somebody told me if my leaves go past flat when fully stuffed, it could damage them, so sounds like I need bumpstops

Thats not the steering arm. Which would explain why I was having a hard time visualizing it. Thats the Tie-Rod, and you would have to move your steering box forward or switch to a flat pitman arm. But since the pitman arm won't work because of the frame, you have only on fix left. Which blows cause moving the box is never fun. Sorry dude.  :dunno:

Could drill it out and run a heim, but will it hit the frame when you passenger side compresses?  Also will it bind when you turn all the way to the right?

you can, and Marlin sells an insert to do that, but if you dont have enough room for a flat pitman arm you most likely wont have enough for that idea either.

oh DANG :yikes:  yep youve got to move the box forward

i thought your draglink was touching the spring when at full stuff but you just simply didnt get your steering box far enough forward

if anything you need a shorter pitman but  dont think its a good idea

Check out "pumpkin toy" and his build thread if ya have not fixed this issue. He notched his frame on his truck and then put a half tube in the frame and it all slides by nice, super sick fab job, also he gotz a new runner and it was doing the same thing and he built his own mounts and moved the box forward and put a flat pitman arm on it! Wish i knew how to post the link up for ya but not that smart i guess. Check boostedrunner build also!

Moving the box isnt too bad and will give you the clearence you need, After i moved mine my next problem was my rod end would hit the spring when stuffed, so i put a 3/4 less drop pitman arm from skys offroad and that fixed it.

Ya think this would all come in the kit so we don't have to chase stuff around and correct it to fix it! Hey maybe were all doing it wrong!  :hahaha:

I agree the stuff to move the box should come in the sas but i think it was how i moved the box that caused the pitman to hit the spring.

I had the Exact issue after my sas.
I bought the marlin crawler steering box mount bracket and cut about 2 inches off of the front of it so i could slide it farther forward.
I basically put the p/s box as far foreward on the frame as possible and used a steering shaft spacer that comes with a body lift.
this alowed me to use the same pitman arm that came with my highsteer kit.
The only hard part is drilling the holes in the frame straight through.
Has worked just fine eversince
The Toyota recalls are  conspiracies created by the government to protect and promote their investments (GM and Chrysler).
Im not joking

DUDE just move the box as far forwards as you can. You will never regret it yeah its a pain in the ASS but it has to be done honestly there is nothin worse than having your steering bind up how does that make you feel driving home after your steering ahd the :pokinit: beat out of it all day?? It will eventually bend as well my buddies got pretty hammered and was super sketch. I would honestly move it soon and also til the box at an angle so your dropped pitman arm is closer to the frame
