84 4runner

The donor is an 87.  The head gasket is leaking on it a little and it's an automatic ( which isn't shifting properly ) so that's why it made a good donor.  I'm just gonna keep it around to play with some.

If you come to a point where you want to liquidate the donor don't forget me. I'd pay for the quarter panels (cut big w/ the wheel housings) and maybe the frame. I'm in southern Wisconsin right by Chicago.  Tennessee is the closest place that is just outside of the rustbelt for me. -- Matt

Thanks for the compliments guys!!  It has been alot of work but I really dont have alot of money in it so thats a good thing! I got to drive it a good bit this weekend and enjoyed every bit of it!!

Thanks!  I drove it a good bit over the weekend with no problems until sat night!  The speedometer quit working! So, I pulled the cluster and checked it there and everything seems fine but that's all I have had to check so far

Yep, that's them.  They seem to do allright so far on the street.  But do seem to flat spot pretty good after sitting a couple days

I'm just starting to work on my '89 4runner. I'm in the upper mid-west.  I take trips to Colorado and Montana for backpacking, hunting and fishing. The off road terrain I spend most of my time on is trail type stuff, so my aim is to build a capable truck that is not quite as hardcore as a rock crawler. I intend to run 33's on the street and 34" LTB's on the trail, so I was happy to see them displayed on another 4runner.  -- Matt
