Transmission Bolts
« on: Dec 30, 2009, 05:44:09 PM »
Hi,

What are the sizes of the transmission(bell housing) to engine bolts (both sizes)? Where is a good place to get these?
Tried being organized with the the transmission swap, but still have lost a couple.

cheers,
Michael

Its cheaper and easier to get new ones from the dealer

3vze is different than 22r.  I would go to the Junk yard.  Hardware store bolts usually have a different head size which is annoying.

Annoying, but its easier to change a socket than to spend 20 or 30 bucks in my oppinion.

those hardware store bolts won't fit it the tranny cause once it's threaded the bigger head on the bolt will hit the motor. i bought the hardware store bolts and ended up just grinding the head down on all the sides. other wise toyota charges $2+ for each bolt.

sorry, the size i am not knowing
but you can go with socket head cap screws (allen head)
and if you go to a nut and bolt supply you can get everything
you need. worked well for me on my 93 dodge w250
converting from a getrag360 to a nv-4500
transmission and no clearnce issues
