Ok, I'm trying to do some research.  I want to do some upgrades on my rigs, that doesn't require my rig to be down longer than an afternoon.  So, onto the brake booster and master cylinder.  I'm looking to see what years and rigs the dual diaphragm booster came on.  I know it came on T100's, V6 p/u and 4runner's.  I've been reading some info on Pirate and I need a aspirin now.  It seems to be hit or miss on their FAQ's on the booster link.

I'll get pics later, but according to my findings, my 87 ex-22rte should have a dual booster, and the 91 22re should be a single.  But looking at them, they are the opposite.  The 91 has a dual and the 87 is single.  Now are all duals have the step in the body or did they change how they looked at one time?  And it seems that some require a shim or aluminum block to be made for a spacer.  I'm looking for a direct bolt up, without any shims or blocks if possible.

My plans are for a dual booster and a 1" M/C.  Please post up.  I don't see anything in the FAQ's and the size capacity thread about anything on this.  I don't want to spend forever looking into "other" sites.  I'll look on Pirate, but after awhile there is too much chit chat in an important thread.

Thanks

You want the booster from a later model 93ish + 4 cylinder or V6 doesn't matter it will be the large booster.  The aster can be from the same rig if it is aluminum.  Cast will be a 13/16" aluminum will be 1"
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Nihal

Hi,
I may will not be able to answer all your questions as the models, parts and fittings differ with what I have here in Sri Lanka, I have a 89 3L (2.8cc) 4cy diesel Hilux 4door solid axel pickup.

Mine has the original single diaphragm break booster and I installed the Mc 1" Master Cylinder about 2 years ago and with good results, ok I run 31x10.50 bfg's with good stopping power

Because at first I had the same idea as you to install a duel diaphragm booster and master cylinder when I put on 31's, when installing cylinder only worked well, I left it at that. Only needed to adjust and get the right setting on the booster / pedal rod.

Why not try the Master Cylinder only first? If it works your one up :crossed:

My 87 is gonna get SAS'd and 35"s.  So, I will need that setup.  Since this truck has the R151F/23 spline setup already from factory!

But my new 91 project "Zach" I'm not sure how I'm gonna run that truck yet.  I'm thinking a good long travel IFS setup.  :dunno:
