Topic: Got a new toy today. '70 Mini Bike

  Picked up a 1970 Honda MiniTrail 50 today.  It doesn't run yet, been sitting in a garage for a really long time.  Overall it looks pretty good considering.  I should be able to get it running pretty easy.  It has everything on it, all original including a liscense plate bracket and lights.  So I could register it for the street if I wanted, hehe.

By next weekend I plan on having it running.

I remember that one.  I use to have the MR50 (racing mini bike).

That's exactly what it looks like, only difference is its candy apple red and white.  I actually got it running tonight.  Just changed the oil and the gas and it fired up.  Then I adjusted the valves.  It needs a new spark plug and a carb rebuild, and the air filter is missing and that's it.  It runs pretty good considering.  And the tubes are holding air.  Tires are really cracked though.  It didn't come with a key so I had to "hot wire it".  The lights don't work, but thats because its connected to the key switch.

I figure after I fix everything I'll be into it for $50 total.
