I was tuna fishing.  It's tradition that you eat the heart of the first tuna you catch.  If you don't you will have bad luck.  So who am I to argue with tradition.

It was a 30lbs Albacore and the heart was twice the size of a golf ball.  It tasted very "fishy" (duh), but with the texture of a raw clam.  I chased it with a beer and when the beer hit my stomach it started beating faster and I could feel it in my stomach.  And yes I had to chew on it, it was too big to swallow whole.

 man,  thats something indiana jones would do,  :smack: i saw a documentary thing one time showing these HUGE tuna,  like 70-80 lbs, the looked as big as a man,  2 BIG guys would reach out and hook one fish from the net and muscle it over the side of the boat  :muscles: i'll stick with bass, and crappie

nets are for trout not tuna.  But seriously nothing fights like a tuna.  Those fish fight to the death.  A 30 pounder will kick your butt.  I still remember the first one very well.  On light tackle (the only way to fish) I faught that thing for 40 minutes.  It pulled 300 yards of line on its first run, nearly spooled me.  If you think a 70 pounder is big wait till you see a 200+ pounder.  I'm still waiting to get one over 100.  But I've seen lots of them caught.

no no,  these were tuna,  it was on the discovery channel i think, they had H U G E nets between the big as boats, small ships, whatever  they used these big winches on both ships to pull the nets up high enough to reach the tuna with these big as hooks on a spear like pole,  then they would drag there big asses over the side into the ship

it was neet as hell i wish i had stuck a tape in the vcr,  never seen a trout as big as a man,

I was joking about the net thing.  As a fisherman I just don't like the idea of netting fish in the ocean.

How bout this one, A friend of mine was broke and REALLY hard up for a 12 pack. So he actually ate a turd sandwich. No fooling. He threw up about a dozen times. Then, collected his money. And bought a case of the Beast.
