HAHA it basically is but it crawls amazing on rollers no joke with the 4.7s and 4.56s it just goes anywhere I crawled the little rock garden at my house its going to be bad when its got 42s for sure.

The plan is getting everything done and solid before the tires are ordered that way when there here it can go to the trail.

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

for sure its my buddies but its at my house and were pretty much building it and mine for test dummys haha. ten minutes from my house is goat mountain which is a pretty good wheelin spot but there is some tight trails so we'll see how it does. At browns it will do awesome though. He had a 1st gen that we stripped to the frame ended up not being worth the work due to lack of time from working so he picked this up for a project. He took automotive threw high school and I took manufacturing and engineering so I'm doing all the fabbing according to what he wants and he does all the motor axle and that sort of work.

He's 20 and I just turned 18 so we should both have pretty good rigs for our age.

89sastoyo

thanks.

Ok so finally got some work done. capped the end of the spring hanger off to get rid of the gap here is a pic the other ones sucked to bad cause I took them with my cell. Let me know what ya think.

Also got the exaust done just 2 3/4" to a flowmaster actually sounds good for a flowmaster haha I usually don't like the sound of them just because everyone runs one.

mixed the front springs because they were de-arching. Due to mixing them and gaining arch they gave it a horrible shackle angle so me and max were debating about putting rears up front and losing the approach or letting these settle and or maybe moving the shackle mount. They still flex good there just isn't enough shackle movement.

Also max ground down the remains of the old sliders and got that all prepped. Ballistic ships pretty slow but the double sheer highsteer is on its way and then the front will be dialed minus bumps. The rear needs the 14bolt to toy adaptor which will probably be on order by the end of this week then taking the driveline into Driveline tech when that arrives. This week max is going to try and get some custom break lines made for the rear instead of running an adaptor from hardline to the banjo fitting for the rear disc he's going to have one line made for it. once thats done it will have breaks and then the running gear is done. After he gets the tires ill make the bump stops and it should be wheelin. The new plan I think is just get it done as much as possible like just legit enough to drive and wheel then buy as needed instead of going all out at the beggining because he wants to wheel.

89sastoyo

So we got a lot done since the last time I posted. We have gotten the rear drive line done it was made by brian at driveline tech, its toyota to a 1350 u joint and instead of straps its the u bolt style pinion flange made for the 1350. We put the ballistic steering on I made the tie rod and drag link. since the guy before wasn't running the springs under it now he didnt move the ifs box forwards enough so Im going to have to move it forwards as much as I can but it rolls around now just makes contact if its flexed out at all. Also got the 42s on the bead locks and mounted on the truck today it looks really good. Heres some pictures.

90 degree aproach we put a piece of plate in front of it it makes contact with the tires and the hanger at the same time with the plate plum.

and heres the ballistic double sheer arms and the interference.

all thats left now is mount the rci fuel cell, buy fittings for it and hook it up, move ifs box, bend rear break line, blead the brakes, measure for bump stops, top all the oil off, fix one exaust leak, maybe a couple more random things but its pretty much done. Im gonna go order the bump stops tomorrow and get a banjo bolt for the rear disc should get the breaks done tomorrow. I dont wanna move the box untill max is at the shop so he can call the shots I just do the welding and dont wanna do something he doesnt like. Should be done by next weekend maybe a test run if it snows at all.

looks way sick! alot better then the last time i saw it!

SocalWheeler71

That thing is a monster on those 42s! Nice build, check out my build in my sig, we did the exact same thing to the front hanger, at least you didn't finish yours. I tried running mine that way for a year and it was nothing but trouble.

89sastoyo

thanks a lot guys and yeah that hanger idea woulda have been troubles It seems like a good idea but I just didnt see it working out.

Also It sits tall in the front but im going to re-drill and move the shackle tubes forwards for a better shackle angle since the main leaf on these are really short but give it a great approach angle.

He wants to lower it a lot so we'll see what it looks like pretty soon.

ok so I do have a question or 2 I want to move the rear axle back what do ya'll think? just a few inches it looks to crammed forwards to me just because theres more room behind it than in front just seems like it would be more proportional and wouldn't sufferr to bad but I dont know lol. Also would like comments on the sliders? I just like the way they look anyone ever ran them like that tucked up high and away? ran a cage off them anything. I like opinions thats why its on here but people only say good job lol.
