I couldn't decide if I was going to just trim up these areas for even bigger tires, or spend a Saturday doing a little body work. Either way, it's not that big of a deal.
Remember the pictures below are "CLOSE-UPS" I bet you didn't even notice the rust in the vids and pictures!
Even though the front is not bad at all, The plan was to just pick up the fiberglass baja fenders from http://toyotafiberglass.com/fenders.htm ($192 in CAD is $186 in USD)

I obviously touched these up with some paint until I could get around to fixing them. Course that never happened. 1. front passenger side fender (pay no attention to the redneck fender flares) 2. driver side rear quarter panel 3. passenger side quarter panel
It's really not too bad considering...

Canada from Pirate said he had something come up and hopes it will still be around in 2 weeks when he has his "situation" straightened out apparently. So we will see.

damn! my situation could have me the money in hand in two weeks! ah i still want your runner but its just not practical for me right now. i already have a crawler and i just bought an 86 mr2 for a daily. I picked it up for 350 bucks and i gotta put a fuel pump in it tomorrow. I i have thought about if i bought yours i could build it into a badass wheelin rig, but its too nice to cut up and make it like the rig i already have. Then i would be left selling my crawler and would lose alot of money on that deal.

So many choices!!

Well, just because he says he's still very interested and planning on picking it up doesn't mean I am holding my breath. Never know what will happen. One thing to note, anyone can have a crawler. That won't make you stand out. What will make you different from every other wheeler is a motor like this. Everyone comes flocking when they hear the blow off valve. I hope I can get some more video shot. You will dig it! Think, "CRAWLER THAT DOES 14 SECOND QUARTER MILE TIMES". It's so close to being capable of it. 14 seconds might not sound like a great time, but not only are you in an old 4Runner, but also a crawler!

yeah dude i hear ya, 14 sec quarter is great for a runner! and i would love to just build that runner, tube it out, link it, make it wicked sick. but like i said i would then have to sell my crawler and i would probly be lucky to get 5K out of it because you practically have to give your stuff away in this current economy! idk man i still think about going through with the loan everyday but just cant make myself do it right now.

ha ha! i hear the family situation from so many guys! the dude i just bought the mr2 from said if he didnt sell some of his projects he would loose his wife! Unfortunately there comes a time in a dudes life when he has to give up some of his toys for his family. Thats the other reason i still think about buying your runner because when i marry my GF and we evetually have a kid, i could still fit the whole family in the wheelin rig! Those are all things i think about man...

My wife threatens like that sometimes. Yeah, we are planning on having a 3rd kid soon and when they are young, it's hard to do stuff. I might not be able to get back into rockcrawling until they are grown.

She use to but not as much lately with the kids. If you decide you want to go through with it, let me know so I can tell a couple of the other "serious" guys to hold off.
