Ok I got some more pictures into Photobucket to make Kyle want to go to Yellowstone some more.

Castle Geyser way cooler than Old Faithful (IMO)

Old Faithful

The pools had some of the coolest color of blue or green.

Mammoth Hot Springs was by far the coolest area to shoot.

I just picked up Adobe Lightroom.  Which will help me convert my RAW images into JPEG photos easier.  Haven't installed it, cause I need to do some back up stuff. Getting a external HD tomorrow to store my photos on, so if anything happens to my computer, then my pictures will be safe.  :crossed:

Just looking back at my photos, there were so many times, that the background has some things in them, that I wish I could have gotten a better angle on things.  But you HAVE to stay on the paths.

Thanks.
I was actually practicing getting the right depth of field on close-ups. My problem is that most of the time I over do it to where the subject will be out of the DOF range. This time I think I did better.

MiniSimp

This one really shows how narrow my DOF is with the 50mm 1.8 lens

I love it.  I was wondering what lens your using for those.  I've been getting a small list of what lenses I really need to get.  And the 50mm is one of them.

For the price it is a good lens. Just don't get disapointed when some of your pics come out blurry or not focused where you thought. That narrow dof makes the focus point a pregnant dog.

I would like to get better at night photography, so any C&C is welcome. Especially something you don't like or think needs to be done differently.
Thanks

I like them Kyle, but they are on the border of being almost too busy.  I like the first more, but I spend too much time looking at the three streaks, and the telephone lines overhead.  But I like the moon and the stars, especially the milky way.

The second one, I spend too much time looking at which windmills are not running/running.  So, I'm not looking at anything else in the picture.  I really have to make myself to look at the whole picture.  But the stars and the hills look great.

I was up at my moms today and I brought up your website and showed her your pictures.  She was very impressed with your stuff.

Thank you! Exactly what I was wanting to hear.

Tell your Mom thanks!

I love the glow of the dash in the runner.  I like the skyline there better than the other two.  Cause you can see alot of stars, and focus on that, and the bottom with the lights of the city.

You need to find a nice hill with a huge ass oak tree and do a night time shot of that.  That is what I see as a really good pic in my mind.  Very simple, and uncluttered.  I wish I had big grassy hills here, but everything is covered in forests and brush.  I envy you Kyle, I have to drive out to Eastern Oregon to get hills like that.  And your surrounded by them where you live.

I know, I know.  But I just don't get time to go and just shoot pictures.  My work schedule, and family time is crazy.  Especially, right now.   The crazy wife is trying to maximize our fun time with the kids before they go to school.  Every weekend has been filled.  And the last pictures I took were tonight.  And they were parts for the transmission.  :shake_head:  And the fact that after I got my sensor cleaned right before my vacation, I still ended up with dust on the sensor while on vacation, and I'm kinda discouraged a little.   :(

But I am looking forward to this fall, and the fall foliage.

Did you take it back and tell them to do it again?
Your camera may have a "Dust Delete Data" option, depending on what kind of camera you have. That option basically limits what AV and TV your camera will allow you to shoot, making it so that no dust shows up.

As for me...I'm going to Mono Lake on Saturday to shoot sunset.

Just need to clean a couple of things first...
