Guys, this has been a problem for me for awhile. If my truck (3.0 V6 manual) sits for, say, mor than a week without being started, it seems as if the battery (Optima red) has died. Electrical components work, but no starter solenoid clicking even. So, the other day when this happened I through a charge on the battery and it started up. Just a few days later it again would not start, maybe only two days. This time I let the clutch peddle out a little as I kept the key turned, and after letting the clutch out about 20% the engine started right up. Now I suspect the clutch switch that is activated by the peddle. But, I don't really know why having a fresh charge on the battery would override a bad, or going bad, switch.

Any other thoughts?

check the wires for the switch on may be exposed and grounded out or something like that.
