Removing tint is even easier than that.  :yesnod:

With the vehicle sitting in the sun (this works even if it's a bit cloudy out and it doesn't have to be real hot out) simply spray the windows with water (Soapy water works good too) and then cover the windows with black garbage bags and press the bags against the tint so it will stick against the tint with the water.

With the bags over the windows close the doors and let it sit for about 20-25 mins.

When the heat builds up in the vehicle you come back and the tint pretty much just peels right off since the water penetrates the adhesive from the tint as it gets all hot and steamy inside the bag.

If you're quick enough the glue will wipe off too before it sets again. But don't worry the glue comes off easy with some Windex.

well thats a good trick to know ive decided if i get pulled over one more time then it is time to take all my tint off so that little trick will come in handy thanks

I had 5% on both front side windows...  All you need to do to regain visibility is roll your windows down, not too hard to push a button.  I drive with my windows down 95% of the time anyway to avoid police attention.  It's just nice to roll them up when you park and keep your car cool, looking good, avoiding theft... etc.  Too bad when I got pulled over for mudflaps again, the officer made me roll up my windows and show him so he could write me a ticket for that too.  Thanks a lot guy, I had them down for a reason.

Hopefully this will answer everyones questions regarding lights and mud flaps in California.  These are quotes taken directly from the California Vehicle Code (CVC).  I might not need to point this out but will do so anyway: this only applies to California and not to other states, however, your state may have similar laws.  Alrighty then, here we go...

Concerning mud flaps and fender flares.

27600 CVC states: "No person shall operate any motor vehicle having three or more wheels, any trailer, or semitrailer unless equipped with fenders, covers, or devices, including flaps ore splash aprons, or unless the body of the vehicle or attachments thereto afford adequate protection to effectively minimize the spray or splash of water or mud to the rear of the vehicle and all such equipment or such body or attachments thereto shall be at least as wide as the tire tread.  This section does not apply to those vehicles exempt from registration, trailers and semitrailers having an unladen weight of under 1,500 pounds or any vehicle manufactured and first registered prior to January 1, 1971, having an unladen weight of under 1,500 pounds."

Concerning headlights, fog lights, and other forward facing lights.

24400 (a)(1) CVC states in part:  "(a) A motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, shall be: (1) Equipped with at least two headlamps, with at least one on each side of the front of the vehicle, and except as to vehicles registered prior to January 1, 1930, they shall be located directly avove or in advance of the front axle of the vehicle.  The headlamps and every light source in any headlamp unit shall be located at a height of nor more than 54 inches nor less than 22 inches."

24402 CVC states in part:  "(a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not to exceed two auxiliary driving lamps mounted on the front at a height of not less than 16 inches nor more than  42 inches.  Driving lamps are lamps designed for supplementing the upper beam from headlamps and may not be lighted with the lower beam."

24403 CVC states in part:  "(a) A motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two foglamps that may be used with, but may not be used in substitution of, headlamps.

(b) On a motor vehicle other than a motorcycle, the foglamps authorized under this section shall be mounted on the front at a height of not less than 12 inches nor more than 30 inches and aimed so that when the vehicle is not loaded none of the hight-intensity portion of the light to the left of the center of the vehicle projects higher than a level of for inches below the level of the center of the lamp from which it comes, for a distance of 25 feet in front of the vehicle."

24404 CVC states in part: "(a) A motor vehicle may be equipped with not to exceed two white spotlamps, which shall not be used in substitution of headlamps.

(b) No spotlamp shall be equipped with any lamp source exceeding 32 standard candlepower or 30 watts nor project any glaring light into the eyes of an approaching driver."

24405 CVC states in part:  "(a) Not more than four lamps of the following types showing to the front of a vehcile may be lighted at any one time:
(1) Headlamps.
(2) Auxiliary driving or passing lamps.
(3) Fog lamps.
(4) Warning lamps.
(5) Spot lamps.
(6) Gaseous discharge lamps specified in Section 25258.

(b) For the purpose of this section each pair of duel headlamps system shall be considered as on lamp."

As far as mud flaps and fender flares are concerned, you don't need both.  The point of concern is "effectively minimize the spray or splash of water or mud to the rear of the vehicle" which means as long as you have a device that does so, you don't need to over kill with two separate devices.  Also, when it comes to the front tires, if you have tires where the tread sticks out past the body/fenders, you need to have either mud flaps or fender flares.

When it comes to being stopped by your local police department officer (PD), sheriff office deputy (SO), or California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer, don't argue with him.  Most PD's and SO's are not well versed with the CVC, since their primary concern is the Penal Code (PC), so if they are wrong about something, politely explain to them you researched it and discovered differently.  If they are unable to admit they are wrong, don't argue with them.  Let them write the citation, make sure that they mark it as "correctable", and then take it to court and request a hearing in front of a judge or traffic constable.  Don't argue with the judge or traffic constable either, if they still find you guilty shut up and put up.  You don't want your fixit ticket to turn into a night in jail.  In the court room judges are GOD and can jail you for sneezing.  At this point your only option is a lawyer and the Court of Appeals.  CHP officers tend to be more well versed in the CVC but still make mistakes.  Once again, don't argue.  Also, there is no jurisdiction in California the prevents PD's, SO's, or CHP from making traffic stops and writing tickets.  If you are cruising down the US-50 freeway in Sacramento and a Fresno PD pulls you over, don't get stupid.  He might be WAY off his beat but he can still nail you.  This also applies to Collage Campus PD's.  Don't get lippy with them either, they are full fledged Peace Officers as well with no difference from PD's, SO's, or CHP.

Happy wheeling.  :driving:
