So, here is my dilema. I've got a CB (don't know which one, can't recall) but 2 vehicles that I wheel. I'm kind of a cheapskate, and don't want to buy a second CB radio (one for each), but want to be able to switch the radio from one truck to the other. Years ago, I bought a slide-mount that made it easy to take the radio out (It was more for security back then, 'cause I was wheeling and FJ40). I was thinking of getting two bases, and then I could switch the radio back and forth. Problem is that nobody seems to have these slide mounts any more (that I can find). I've checked radioshack and online, and I can't find anything. Anyone have any ideas which may help me out? I've also considered using a 4 pin trailer plug, wire it all up, and just let it sit somewhere.

Anyway, any insights would help. By the way, the 2 vehicles are an 85 4Runner and an 05 Tacoma if it makes any difference.

Thanks,

Erik

buy 2 antennas, 2 mounts, and just unplug the cb each time you swap it.  the mounts just attach to teh cb on the side with 2 thumb screws, not that hard to remove... or steal for that matter. lol.

how is your CB mounted? it just has 2 holes on the side right?  is it the radio shack $20 or $40 special?
