He had some good music. I think even aliens had heard his music, along with Elvis.

WTF!!!

QuoteA spokesman for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said the elaborate memorial cost the cash-strapped city $1.4 million, "far less" than an initial estimate of $3.8 million.

Mabye its just me, but that seems like a huge mismanagement of funds :dunno:  I know I'd be pissed if my taxes went to help pay for the Jackson memorial

I've heard talk of his insurance company picking up the tab once they know the final figure....I'm sure it will be taken care of by his estate/family/insurance.  I think most of it was paying for security around the city due to the huge influx of "tourists."

According to the website, they anticipated 20000, but only 1,000 showed up.

I'm sure thats exactly what most of it was, but I still don't think the taxpayers should be stuck with the bill.

I feel ya on that, dude.  Seems they just kicked out $1 million for a Lakers victory parade last month as well.  haha.  But donors helped defray much of that cost.  I would just about guarantee that the entire MJ bill will be paid in full.

Now they are asking for public donations to pay for the memorial, what a bunch of sickos. How about the rich family paying the bill instead of asking the public to be responsible. Must be something in the gollywood air to make people so damn stupid and so gullible...
