My new toy

So, my step dad calls me up and says I need to come up and bring a trailer.  OK?!?    So, I call up a buddy to borrow his trailer, go get it, and go to my mom's house.  I pull up and he says these are for you.  Hands me a box of stuff.     

So, I look in the box and its got stuff for a lawn mower.  And then he hands me the keys to his old rider!! 

He just bought himself a new "lawn tractor" from Sears.  So, he gave me his old "lawn tractor."     It's a Craftsman 50" rider with a 20 horse Kohler v twin motor, which has only 200 hours on the motor and the repairman says these get upwards of 2500 hours. 





I love getting free stuff!!

Congrats Cheesie!  Free is always good, and that's a nice, clean-looking unit! Dunno how much you have to mow, but I bet it is appreciated. Sounds like you have a very good step-dad there!

wow i got a 52" deck and only got a 18hp kholer      just keep her serviced once a yr  and U should have no problems  only thing i have noticed with the hydro lifters is they will tap loudly  if its cold and U got 30w in her.

I love free stuff, and my step dad doesn't mess around when it comes to buying things.  He buys the best.  It helps when you inherit a large amount of $$.  I don't go kissing his ass, but if they are willing to give me stuff, I'm gonna be appreciable about it. 

I take care of 1 acre.  90% of the time I try to push mow most of it.  That's my exercise.  (I like to alternate my cutting directions, it gives me a better looking lawn.  The grass gets a pattern when you use rider, and it looks horrible to me.)  But when I'm short on time, or if its been a while and the grass is tall, them its rider action. 

I'll get pics of my old rider beside the new one later.
