Topic: Help save California State parks!

Well the governator is trying to shut down some 220 State Parks and beaches. This is a petition to prevent this from happening. If you could please be so kind to sing this on your free time I would greatly appreciate it. I have been camping a some of these locations since I was about 10 years of age and would like to some day take my children there. If you can please sing this and pass it on it would be of great help.

If the state can't afford the manpower to patrol & control the parks, fine -- furlough those employees.  But if you simply reassign them to other duties, they are still on the payroll and you haven't saved a nickel.  In the meantime, those parks are public lands, bought with taxpayer dollars -- and the state should not lock the public out simply because they cannot afford to continue paying wages to park rangers.

Guys don't let this happen to our state. The link has been fixed and we still need 8,000 signatures. I won't stand by as they destroy California's history and the beauty that is in all these places.

Done. I'm normally not a petition signer, certainly not a 'jump-on-the-bandwagon sort. This petition looks like it's a good idea, though... I hope a lot more folks add to it.

  glad you mentioned that!  I only wish all the brainless sierra club followers would openly acknowledge that their past (maybe current ) leader had precious redwood trees CUT DOWN in order to build a house in the redwoods to protect them from being CUT DOWN
