Ok our lubricant vendor (Motion Industries) did a demo today.  Pro1One, is the product name.   I am truly, and frankly dumbfounded at the results.  He used every kind of grease and oil, submerged in water, then applied extreme pressure -to sieze a bearing.  This included  Mobil1 SYN, Lucas, Sta-Lube, Lubriplate, Kroil, PB, Castrol, EP2, etc.  All siezed with very little effort, maybe 400 pounds per square inch.  Then he applied very little of the product, you could not sieze it, it just spun, even at 5000 per square inch.  I could tell you about the stuck oil ring test but then it would sound like I was promoting the stuff.

I am skeptic, but  we are going to buy some of the various products and test them to the extreme.  We are gonna get some cases of thier EP2 in tubes, some gear oil treatment, and some hydro treatment.  He gave me some to run in my Toy so I will try out the oil treatment and Hydro treatment and report back.

Apparantly the stuff lubricates better under heat (my guess a positive charged lube).  He poured dirt on the stuff and it would not stick or sieze.

He said Napa, will start in 3 months carrying it.

Anyone Heard of it ?

They've done the same or similar tests with all the oil additives that have come out over the last 15 or more years, and each additive keeps the bearings from seizing while everything else fails easily.  I have to wonder how it's rigged, cause they can't all be perfect when done by their reps but fail when done by another brand's rep...

I can't see how it would be rigged, cause we were allowed to do our own tests.  I am also a skeptic.  I plan on using it in some places where bearing failure is common, so I'll let that be the real test.  Then I'll decide if a major lubricant change is worth the money.  Using it in the rig is just my side test.

The other difference is, that our rep is also the rep of our current lubricant.  So he has nothing to gain or lose in this sale.
