T/Case probs

Got a problem with my mates Transfer case in his toy truck the gear shifter is stuck in H4 below H2 and won`t move at all and the hole truck is in nuetral,Its the gear driven Transfer what could the problem be?

rocking the truck back and forth didnt help it any?

Check to make sure the shifter is installed correctly. Sometimes its easy to install the shifter out side of the correct shift hole for the pattern..

If the transfercase was last assembled without the interlock pin, it's possible that while your friend was in 4HI he could have ran into a large rock or tree, and the low/high shift rod could have been jolted back, engagine 4LOW but the shifter is still in the 4HI position. If this is the case, then its very simple to remedy. Simply remove the shift handle, and, using a flat head screwdriver, move the left shift rod "forward" (either one click or could be two, depending on how hard he hit something) until the two shift patterns line up, and then put the shift handle back in.

Yes we did everything we were stuck out in the bush for a few  hours
