trade????

Hey guys.i need a second opinion,I have a 1981 shortbed,4'' downey rears in the front,63'' chevys and dual shackles in the rear,hy-steer,37'' irocks,half doors,and 3'' wheel spacers.A buddy of mine has a 1990 4 runner straight axled,38.5'' boggers and hy-steer.he wants to trade the 4runner for my pickup,i am leaning towards doing it beause i have a family and i could have my kid in the car with me and my wife.but i love my truck,what do you all think i should do?thanks for the input.. :thumbs:

i can get pics up tommorow.it is clean,my buddy just rebuilt the motor,he is going to to put 6'' all-pros in the front and 63'' chevys and 2'' blocks in the back.

I'd consider what your planning on using it for. As you said, it would make it easier to take the family with you, and that is worth it's weight in yota parts. Sounds like even if it's not an even trade, it's a great platform to start with, and you can certainly make changes as you need to. I say go for it, unless there is something that is significantly wrong with the $runner that would be a deal breaker.

It has the 3.0l,a 5 spd and i will try and get a side by side comparison.
