1996 Chevy 2500 4x4

im posting this for my neighbor/friend

it is a 96 chevy 2500 4x4 extracab long bed
it has the 5.7 v8 and auto overdrive trans
this truck has 163k on it

the good-

cold a/c that works great
recent plugs, wires, cap, rotor, hoses
2 new front axle shaft, not rebuilds
everything works as it should
kenwood cd player, aftermarket speakers, prewired for amp and sub
tinted windows
sliding rear window
full tow package with light hook ups- trailer brake controller
comes with landscapers rack and tool box if wanted

the bad-

needs tires, soon
needs front brakes in the near future, rear are ok
windshield is heavily cracked

standard features-
a/c
power steering
push button 4wd

seats 6 with belts (2 bench seats)



i personally drove this truck for about 2 months, including 2 trips to seattle from portland (about 400 miles round trip) it gets 12 city average- about 16 on the highway
4wheel drive works great, ive used it plenty!.

it is a work truck, so it has small dings, and alot of shrubbery scrathes (hes a landscaper)

i asked him how much to sell it for- he said taking into acount the needed repairs he'll lower the asking price to 3,000 dollars.

its located in portland oregon, and would make a great tow rig for a toyota or sammi.

wow dave, good offer- but as i stated before, i dont own this truck, although i have had possesion for over a year. it belongs to my freind, he has 4 other vehicles, and is in his mid 60s, the ONLY reason he is selling it is because he just doesnt need it, he has owned it for 5 years and drivin it only a few hundred miles, he has other trucks that he uses everyday, this one sits (or is driven by me from time to time)


so- that being said, no trades, but he is very open to resonable offers

no, just a standard extracab, it does have 6 seatbelts and a foldflat rear seat

it has 16 inch rims, and like i said, needs tires
