I'm trying to get Yabb to work on my server and I'm getting a 403 error access denied, think you could help me out with this problem? Probably shouldn't be asking, or atleast on Marlin's board but I'm stuck like chuck so I figured I'd throw it out there to see if anyone could help out....

try the yabb support board

did you check all of your permissions?

Yeah I checked their boards and some suggestions were to chmod everything to 777, tried that, no luck. Ah either way I'll figure it out.

and you transferred ascii?

Yeah, I kinda gave up on Yabb right now I have or had Ikonboard installed and working before but when they upgraded the server it seemed to have messed with it so that's what I'm trying to fix right now, if I have to completely start over with it, I'll go with Yabb so I'll keep ya'll posted but yeah I uploaded in ascii and binary depending on the file of course and chmod'd everything correctly so....but I'll keep ya posted

403 is a java subscriping error or missmatch.

check your directories and where they are pointed to.

if you can't figure it out, then telnet into your server and type in 'what perl' and it will tell you the proper paths.

ok I'll see if I can do that, I deleted all of the files off the server and I am going to start fresh to see maybe if I did something wrong in the process...we'll see. Thanks for all your help guys I know it's not 4x4 related and all but I knew ya'll being a great bunch of peeps you'd help me out as much as you can.    ;D

In the YaBB.pl file, make sure the first line points directly to your java dir.

For my server, it is #!/usr/bin/perl
