Well in my neck of the woods they are all too busy working OT & writing frivolous tickets ( helping AWNOLD balance CA's budget!) to be on a forum board

Mine too. Got pulled over last week, cause my dad (passenger) didn't have his seatbelt on before I reached 5mph on the open road. He didn't ticket me though, which I though was unusual.

Well, I'm probably opening myself up to massive flaming for admitting this, but I'm a cop.  Just don't ask me where and for who :shake_head:  Just to dispel some myths:  I love Super Troopers and so does every other cop I know, tickets don't go to the state budget/fund, they are handled on a county basis.  Some go to a general county fund, others go to a city fund.  As for frivolous tickets, some cops are assholes, some are ignorant, and some just got picked on in high school and have something to prove.  As for me, if you've got a sweet rig and a Marlin Crawler sticker your going to get a verbal if you even get stopped at all

Now, let the flaming begin!

Nah, you shouldn't worry bout flaming and being a cop.  After all, you are performing a service to your city and for that people should be grateful.  I place cops, firemen, and medical personnel in the 'military' category - we can't live without em.

Like you said, some of them are assholes, and some aren't.  Some let their power go to their head.  However, when they got their head on straight (and it seems like you do), we have no reason to flame - :usa:  :cheese:
