« on: May 04, 2009, 11:38:58 PM »
Sorry for this newbee question guys. I just got done honing my 83 toyo  block and now I'm in need of new piston ring. I did some shopping around town and was told it can bee a couple of days to a week be for I can get the new ring set. Sorry I forgot to metion that my block been bore out to .30 oversize. I already got my new piston but now I'm stuck without .30 oversize ring. I was wondering if there any other make or  model that will be compable with. I just don't have to much more time to finish my rebuilt. And if you have a set of .30 over for the 1st gen 22r block then hit me up too. I'm from Fresno,ca. thanks guys!

.30 over rings are very common for 22rs since they are steel rings instead of the stock aluminum ones.  As jimbo said a local machine shop can get them if not have them already. There is a machine shop near me which I know had a couple sets in stock.  You can also contact japan engines in fremont. They deal with a ton of yota engines.
