Hey all,
I'm new to the site and wanted to introduce myself and my trucks.  My name is Nate and I've had Toyota runnin through my blood since my first one in 1995.  My favorite one to date is my daily driver, a 1980 4wd with pretty high miles @499,100.  Sadly it doesn't have the stock engine, thanks to the previous owner's wife not wanting to stop when it got hot!  I built a budget hybrid engine(22r block with 320,000 miles at the time, which actually rusted solid twice in storage), slapped on a junkyard header and 2.5" exhaust with cherry bomb and no cat as it's a non-catylist Alaska truck, and tuned the street lethal webber a little better.  It's still stock height and runnin 31s, but I have plans of lifting it a little to fit my 35s.  It likes to eat stock 4.37 gears though, had a hole in the rear end when I bought it, I switched out axles then broke another stock set 11 months ago, cleaned it up and got away with it till a week ago when I broke another tooth off the pinion gear, then broke more the other day sending one through the housing again.  That makes a total of 10 teeth broken or missing.  I'm gonna limp on some backup 4.30s till I can afford 5.29s, at which time I'll put in my new ATK  engine and w58 out of a parts 4runner.
My other trucks worth mentiong are my other daily driver, a 1991 sb 2wd granny truck and my cool old 1981 sb 2wd, though it's awaiting a much needed heart transplant and some front suspension/steering work.  Oh yea, and I'm pickin up another 1980 4wd tomorrow after work for dirt cheap, supposed to have new heavy duty birfields, new gears and rear locker and rebuilt transfer case, 3" lift and decent aluminum wheels w/bald 33s.  It's actually in decent shape as far as an off road rig is concerned, and I'm thinkin of building a hybrid for it and then making an adapter to run the efi off my 4runner on it.
Anway, that's probably more than anybody wanted to know, and sadly I gave the condensed version this time.  If anybody has any suggestions/comments send em my way, though it might take a few days to respond.
RIP KYOTA
