90 4x4 Pickup gearbox input shaft leak
« on: May 01, 2009, 04:58:22 AM »
Anyone have any information on how to replace the input shaft seal on a 90 4x4 pickup? I have my steering gearbox disassembled down to the steering input shaft assembly but not sure how to disassemble the piston/worm gear to get to the input shaft. ANY help and/or pictures would be great. Thank you!

Thanks for the link jimbo74. It is helpful but didn't detail the disassembly of the wormgear from the power piston and housing. It appears spanner wrenches may be required to disassemble the shaft from the housing for the input shaft seal replacement.
