Here it is. Has anyone towed a trailer through fastrak? I just got it and have a problem trusting technology(hence I still have a carburetor). I can just see getting charged for both trucks and the trailer. I have my tow rig, trailer, and crawler all registered on the fastrak account. Just wanted to see what anyone experiences were with this. Thanks, Austin

I have always wondered.

Is it a flat monthly charge, or can you set it up to be charged by the usage?

Ive had it for a while but haven't towed with it. They charge you $25 then every time you use it deduct toll from that 25 until your balance gets low then they recharge you 25. So it costs nothing other than toll.

I used to have one of these, but I wouldn't recommend towing anything with it  :ack:

Honestly can't tell you.  I'd call fastrak.  It seems as if it'd be fine since you have all the vehicles registered on it, but then again, I could easily see the automated system getting you for the two trucks and the trailer, rather than just one truck and trailer.

Most toll roads charge per axle beyond the 2 that comes with your vehicle. If you have seperate fast track boxes mounted then yes it will charge for each box it reads as you go by. Best thing to do is only have one box present and leave others at home.

So after calling fastrak and hitting every button on my phone imaginable, I got a human to talk to me. He said Fastrak will charge my tow rig, then take a picture of my trailer(like someone was tailgating me). When they run the plate on the trailer it comes up as mine and charges me the extra 4.25. I think im just going to take the plates off everything and just go for it! hahaha thanks for the replies

But if you have a responder for the trailer since you signed it up just take that one and it will only take a picture of the trailer and since it is supposed to be on it they won't know what plate to charge it too.
