Squeeky brakes

When i say sqeaky, im talking peope stare squeaky... whats the prob, i replaced all pads and shoes just a wee bit ago. they still squeak. Cleaned em. they still squeak... :dunno: what the hell?

I'm aumeing that it's the fronts doing this. disc squeaks are made by the pads moving around in the caliper. there is some stuff out called "disc brake anit squeak" you aply it to the back of the pads, let it drie for a bit and put them back on. this should at least redues the squeaks some. :twocents:  :crossed:

But what happens once u wear that part off? or do you soak em in the stuff or what?

did you install those anti squeel shims included with the brakes :dunno:
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much

My didnt come with any :dunno: i got the autozone replacers... :dunno:

You buy a bottle and read how to use it, and then you do what it says.

it goes on the BACK of the pad. not the front. so it won't wear off. ok?    :yupyup:

if that didnt work  try to beval the edges of the pads and shoes the pads have like a plastic coating on them that squels like pad wear indacator
 a grinder works good but dont breath and be gentiel as the grinder takes it off fast

haha, but anyways i got mine from autozone for like 12 bucks a pair i think it was... pretty cheap. My brakes still squeek but thats just cause i still ahve the  4cyl calipers, not v6 ;)

Because now i have larger tires, which is more mass rotating, which would mean i would have to have more stopping power. V6 have more weight to the engine and with more power u have to have better stopping, which is why they have larger calipers and pads ;) thats why!

V-6 and 4 banger pads are the same. just the caliper is dif. butt don't see why it would squick with 4cly cals.

i dunno, ill prolly just end up getting new vented rotors and performance calipers and pads and stuff. Once i get my job ill have alot of this stuff underway, but im going WT style as of right now :thumbsup:
