last year me and two of my friends went with the 6:30 friday morning group. there was over 15 rigs in the group. let me just say that ill never do that again, although not one person broke it was a VERY slow group. we all stopped at the buck dam and had lunch, after we were all done me and my buddies led the pack at OUR own pace. we wheeled for about 30 min and then stopped and waited an hour and a half for them to catch up.  so if your going in a big group be prepared. im not going to anymore, but im still paying the fee for the raffle and dinner and all that

I'm going and counting on a slow run to the springs. I'm heading in Wed. morning and kind of looking forward to cruising the 'Con. Every other time I have tended to race it. (probably will Sat. morning on the way out)

Its a TLCA run with organized groups for the most part, there are a few unorganized groups that organizers allow IIRC.

Hey guys check this out-

I am working on a small side project and found an award for Marlin that he won at the FIRST Rubithon event in 1989!!

In case you are wondering, Marlin has made all 21 events except for one, I think in 2001 ?

Been there, done that, at the last 4 roundups. Needless to say we're not doing that again - and we've said that before too

As for Rubithon - we won't be there, but we'll be thinkin bout ya

this year was my first time going to rubithon. it was the most fun i have ever had. i was signed up to do the 0900 run but was talked into doing a later run which i think was the better choice. the group of guys were all hella cool and knowledgeable. the weather turned out to be perfect the whole weekend and my truck held up great.
it is now my fav event of the year and i cant wait till next years. the wife and i plan on going every year we can.
got another 85 runner. build coming soon!!
