Axle shafts?

I was wondering if all solid toyota axles shafts are they 30 spline?  If not is there any way to tell what I have with out taking it all apart?  :headscratch:

Stock configuration is 30 spline at the hub, 27 spline at the birfied to inner axle and 30 spline at the differential.  30 spline Longs upgrade to 30 spline at the birfield to inner axle connection.  I don' t know how you could tell without taking it apart.  My guess is that you'd know, or be told by a previous owner, if upgraded axles were installed.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

So If I was to go to the junk yard and say I need complete shafts then Id be safe... Iam just looking for spares...

As long as you get the inner axle and birfield it will always fit.

No and I hope not to :biggthumpup: .  I just need the spare parts for just in case for M-day weekend I get out of work on Thursday and I ll be gone till the following Monday camping and wheeling .... When I get back its going back into the garage for a up grade to 3/4 ton D-44 high steer and rear D-60 w-disc breaks with 40's   :yupyup: .

14-bolt is a better choicefor the rear. Read:

d44 is not a upgrade, and I would pass on the potato plow 14b

It is to me cause I have it and have done high steer and gears from my last project but if you would be interested in funding me for a D60 for the front then Id pass up the 44 and start over .... O heck no Id never use a 14bolt!
