Well, it was actually found in a creek which feeds the sacramento river, battle creek to be exact.  There's a fish hatchery up the creek, and this guy was a little down from the hatchery I think... and dead.  It had been dead for a little while and had dropped to 85 or 86 pounds, but was believed to be 90 when alive.  Pretty cool to see the pics, wish I coulda seen it in person!
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

lilbuddy

Battle creek, sac river, kinda between anderson and red bluff.  That'd be bitchin if Mikey did a show there!  Anybody who's been around rotting salmon knows the smell gets stuck in your clothes and doesn't go away, and it aint too peachy!

:smack:  I'm no looker, but I aint that fugly  :haha:  Hell, that salmon nearly weighs what I do!
