today was a good day, bubba got his "pic" line fixed so now there is a good central line to give his treatments. He was in a good mood, laughing and playing with grandma and sister.

Today Bubba is doing fairly good. He was taken off his restrictive diet and is now eating normal food.
The doctor said his hemoglobin is not good and if it gets worse he will need to have a blood transfusion.
His hair is also starting to fall out from the chemo. We knew it was going to happen but its just shocking that its actually happening now

Hang in there Aaron.  Bubba's lucky to have his family so close and that makes him stronger.  We're still praying for him and will continue to do so.

Bubba is not feeling very good today. He woke up with a fever of 101. We got him in to our bed and had the nurse give him some morphin, we could tell he was in pain and not his normal self. So today we are just going to take it easy and hopefully get some sleep

Sorry to hear.  Kids are pretty tough and can recover better than adults.  I don't know how I missed this post before my vacation, or I would have stopped by and gave moral support to you and your wife.  I had to watch dad go through chemo and radiation and its tough to watch them go through it.  The best thing dad did was cut his hair off, as soon as it started to fall out.  It was his way of controlling something that was out of his control. 

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

The transfusion made a big difference! He was his normal spunky self and put up a big fight with us trying to get back in the wagon last night. It was nice to see he had the energy. Today he is in a very good mood smiling and laughing. We are still trying to get his blood pressure under control but its getting better everyday, the kidney Doctor is playing with different meds. trying to get the right combo.
