thats awesome. im guessing its going yellow?

That's the plan. After lots of seat time and testing. Also gonna change over to king shocks since we already deal with them as it is with our jeeps. Then complete tear down and prep and paint. Probably gonna shoot for Parker 425 the first weekend of February for our first race. Maybe a M.O.R.E. race before we tear down and prep just to get familiar with the car. Whichever we decide were lookin at 2 months at least for a full prep. Wilson Motorsports are really close friends of ours and they are willing to lend extra help if needed. They run 2 class 1's, good people. Steve Strobel also said he's a phone call away to answer any questions we might have. All I know is the more we get into this thing were quickly finding out that everything we learned with our jeeps we can just throw out the window. This thing is an animal and needs to be treated with respect and can't over look anything. But A&G Motorsports is up for the challenge and plan on tackling this thing head on

yeah thats pretty sweet. idk if id change the shocks and coils. people dont really think it'll change much but it can either be a good thing or a very bad thing. the truck was probably designed to work with those shocks right? well its kinda like butting a chevy motor behind a ford transmission. it doesnt work unless you modify so when you do change to king i wouldn't put it past that theirs going to be modifing and lots of valving to get it to work right just my :twocents:

sweetmeat

Absolutely, but everybody we talk to say the same thing that Kings are the only way to go and that anything else is just silly. Of course it will take time to dial them in but that's what testing is for. We test all the time, that's how we got our jeeps all dialed in. Figure we can do the same with this car. Besides King rebuilds our shocks on our jeeps after every race for pretty much nothing. Not saying they will rebuild these for free but pretty sure we can work somethin out were pretty tight with Brett King. Buying them to start is gonna hurt the pocket book though for sure. Hopefully we can sell these Fox's or keep them for spares not sure what were gonna do yet

yeah yeah for sure well if you can get away with getting 4 bypass remote res. shocks for under 200 bucks then its worth it.

im also quoting rebuilding racerunner shocks. i know that fox shocks are a bit less to rebuild

sweetmeat

The Kings on our jeep they charge 100 bucks each. But like i said they have been doing them for free for the past 2 years as long as we kept winning. This is a whole new deal here with these shocks, for 1 there's 8 of them and besides that they are are WAY bigger, which means more oil and so on. It's not anything were gonna do right away but before our first big race were gonna make the switch. With our jeeps Deaver does our rear leafs, Rubicon Express sends front coils, Currie gives us track bars and steering and so on and so on every race. Granted this new car is gonna cost WAY more money to to prep ( probably 10 times ) but hopefully we will be able to get some help along the way. The grease to lube each cv boot is 50$ a tube and there's 4 of those that's 200$ just in grease. It's ridiculous how much is involved with this thing but like I said were just learning this thing hopefully after the first season we will have a little help

i guess i shoulda proof read my own i was meaning rebuilding them. i dont know if you guys ever break the deavers but we use alcan springs, and man do they work awesome! if you guys break the deavers i would highly suggest giving alcan spring a call. running their Orbit-eye in the fron eye and using a standard bushing in the rear and never once have we broke a spring since we've used them. before we would break main leafs and tear up bushings.

sweetmeat

We been running Deavers since day 1 of our racing adventure ( dec 05 ) and not many problems with them. Total we have broke a main 2 times. Bushings are always pretty good. For 25 races that's not bad. They are local here in so cal and do a great job for us

Well we finished. we were the first car in class to finish but on corrected time we got 2nd by only 15 seconds. Closest race i ever been a part of battled long and hard all day only to come up short by 15 seconds. Anyway after 4 of 5 races we are still leading overall points heading into the season ending race the first weekend of december at henderson nevada. Gonna be a battle to the end

your class one looks almost exactly like the jimco that caught fire at SCORE Terrible's Primm 300 i dont know what caused it but it was car 101 Richard Boyle

sweetmeat

That sucks. I hope we never catch fire again. It's a hard thing to see. Another class 1 burned to the ground at our race also but never heard what number it was. Our buddies the wilsons did pretty good out at primm. In class 1 they got a 6th and a dnf, class 12 they got a 3rd and 4th, and class 16 they got first place. They were leading class 1 season points heading into this race not sure where they stand now. Harley letner was chasing them not sure if he finished or not

That car that burned was a BMS car. They must be doing something wrong cause its their 3rd car the last 2 years to burn down. Either way it sucks though. But glad to hear they got out safely

yes sir!!! i am and it looks like Jason Hutter with Fire Guys Racing is going too. we are going to tow Mark Murell with his Fire Guys Racing class 11 bug me and jason are probably going to co pilot for him

sweetmeat

Right on man. Class 11 those guys are awesome. Gotta give credit when credit is due and they deserve alot! Always wanted to race the 1000 in one of those just to say i did it. Anyway were lookin maybe to run the 1 car out there just to get some seat time and some practice tire changes and settin up the fuel towers and dumpin fuel and things. Just to get a little more familiar with the car in a race conditions. Not goin to win or anything just go for sunday cruise stopping at each pit to let all us pit guys manhandle some 37's around and run the car. Were gearing up for parker and the best in the desert season in 2010 and we need to start full race prep in nevember. It's either that snore race or a mdr race in barstow in 2 weeks but it's lookin like the snore race as of now.

yeah dude let me know i'll be happy to help out i'll give jason a call tomorrow

sweetmeat

10-4 sounds good. We should have most all of our pit guys but the more the better. It's just kinda short notice not sure if everybody can get the time off since it wasn't on our schedule for this year but with this new car were kinda wingin it for now at least till we finish our jeepspeed season. Were not even gonna do much prep at all like i said just basically lookin to get ray "the kid" some seat time. We only driven the 1 time so far but were probbably gonna go run barstow this weekend. Gotta get all the seat time we can with this thing. It's stupid fast and definately wanna go into parker with as much seat time as possible

It ran good i guess. We put about 25 miles on it. Had to change an alternator and a belt but besides that ran good. That thing is so fast!!!!! If you ever been to main pit at barstow we ran thru mains huge whoops at 90 mph. Were gonna go back this weekend and run it again. I don't think were gonna do primm after all. We gotta start working on the pre runner jeep for the powder puff race in 2 weeks. I think its a good call were not ready to race the 1 car yet

lol yeah but it would be awesome!!! it's all good we would be more than happy to help you pit if you decide to run

sweetmeat

Well its almost time for last race of the season in jeepspeed. Best in the desert moved it from henderson to the jean area. I think its a good change considering casey could on get a 14 mile course with no remote pits. Moving it Jean it will be 60 mile laps with 2 remote pits besides main pit. Probably our last race with the jeep. We hold a 31 point lead goin in so were looking for a good solid run. Race is the first weekend of december, december 3,4,5 and 6th

Well we won henderson. Ended up winning by 14 minutes. In doing so wrapped up our 3rd straight jeepspeed challenge series championship in a row. Nobody ever done that before so we hold our heads proudly. Time to retire our little jeep that could and dive full bore into our new challenge. Class 1 is gonna be difficult but fun and we look forward to it can't wait. First race is best in the deserts parker 425 first week of february.

BTW congrats to wilson motorsports for the score class 1 title this year. Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
