ok guys im sure you've all heard these questions before so if theres somewhere that i can get all this info please steer me in that direction so you guys dont have to....here goes

ive got a 99 2.7L, 5 spd taco and id like to buy all the parts for this mod seperatly as i get the money....is this possible? im perfectly capable of putting it all together and installing it myself and since i dont have that kinda money layin around id like to do this way

if i can piece it together, what exactly do i need, what i mean is, i know need the tranny-reduction box adapter, the reduction box (with 4.7s of course ) and the reduction box-stock tcase adapter, and i think thats it, except for the new DS's and the x-member, but theres just so much info on this site i just dont know where to start :hammer:, if you guys could help me out it would greatly appreciated cause if i find out that i can purchase what i need seperatly instead of all at once i can start gettin the need parts like next week, thanks guys

I just got done installing mine. I spent about 200 bucks less than what it would cost to get it complete from Marlin. I got the whole donor case out of a buddys 86 Runner for 100 bucks. Make sure you hold onto the whole case as you will use some parts from it for your Taco Supreme. I bought it all separately, 4.7's first, MC09 next and then the tranny adapter. Basically just read all the tech articles on the main page and if you still have questions, talk to Dave over there at Marlins shop, he sure knows his shiat!!! Helped me out quite a few times (  to Dave). The only tough part was figuring out how to put the 4.7's in with no manual to read off of. You'll have to clearance the reduction box for the 4.7's so if you have a dremel handy, it will work fine. Marlin includes all the RTV, bolts and seals with the adapters/gears ( again). I also bought Marlins short shifter kit, I didn't have to but figured if I was spending the money anyway, just to go for it. You will be able to use the stock shifter. If you have any other questions, shoot me an email or reply here, whichever works.

thanks for the info, one Q though, can i buy the reduction box from marlin? i dont really have acces to donor tcase nor do i really wanna tear into one to make sure its in good shape and to change the gears in it, if possible i would really like to buy the adapters, and the reduction seperatly as get the $$$ and assemble it all myself, this way i can avoid the chance of me possibly installing the gears wrong, or gettin a POS donor case

Marlin probably has one laying around, I'd give em a call, they will be able to answer all your Q's.
