hey whats the best and easiest way to strip the coating off aluminum wheels. looks like I got some acid burns up under the coating. and theyre brown after sittin a while
get it!

Muratic acid will strip them down to the base aluminum.  If you can't find any go  to a place that washes semi's and I'll bet they will wash them down for a few bucks.

Any swimming pool supply store should have it. But, be very careful with it. It is very strong. And do not use it on the rims while they are laying on concrete. It will eat the concrete.
It ain't worth doin' if you don't have to clean up afterwards!

Build it, break it, fix it, repeat until your wallet is empty.

Ive heard that but wasnt brave enough to try. doesnt discolor it or anything? yeah that stuffs nasty ive used it quite a bit at work before sealin concrete. you ever breathed in that stuff

If you wet the concrete down before you spray them and make sure it stays wet the concrete will be just fine.

The wheels will be stripped clean and look white.  You can polish them from that point if you like.

They use weed sprayers at teh truck washes.  A normal squirt bottle should work just fine.  They spray it on dry wheels then wipe them down with a wool mit to clean them up well.

Forget the acid, just go find a place that does bead blasting. Any powder coating place prob does it. And if you use the acid, bet a couple of huge boxers of baking soda it neutralizes the acid.
