Greetings,  I've been using a TruckAir air compressor for airing up my tires.  It's getting old waiting 30+ minutes for the tires to fill.  I saw a 12v compressor made by puma on ebay, (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11751&item=3840490125&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) that boasts 3.4CFM at 40 psi.  It's $180.  It even has an air tank.  I was wondering if anyone has tried this compressor or knows anything about it.  Thanks.

I think that for not much more $$ you could get a CO2 setup

Does the ARB pump put out a lot of air?  How long would it take to fill up some 31's, or 35's from 15psi to 30?
I know the CO2 systems fill really fast, but I'm not sure I want to have to deal with getting them filled--is it worth it?
Thanks for your comments. :)

not as fast as co2 but pretty close and you never have to fill it like you do with a co2 tank

If you don't mind giving up your A/C, you could try this from FROR

or this from Sky
http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/
I've seen other set-ups out there (don't remember where) and have seen countless write-ups on swapping in a York compressor.
Although I haven't installed mine yet (my trucks gutted), I opted for the FROR conversion. You could seach out all the adapters, components and goodies at www.mcmaster.com or Graingers...this just seemed the easiest way to me.

Only costs about $12-$15 to fill a tank that will air up 30-40 tires fast. With any small compressor your going to be waiting for it to fill your tire.

My OBA setup I did using the stock Toy A/C compressor cost me about $125 complete. I could fill my 35x14.5 boggers from 7-30 in less than 10 mins. One time after a run, I finished filling my last tire when my buddy with a Powertank (with older style valve) was just finishing his third tire. Super simple to setup, no huge costs from the aftermarket, no refills, and quick.

I also use a Toyota compressor, ARB switch & an air tank from a semi. 86 has seen my set up, he can tell you if it works well or not. Total cost ~$175. I had to buy a compressor & bracket, no A/C on the truck here in the land of rain.

Yeah the Toy compressor works for now. When it blows, I'll throw in a York and can the oiler. Should get even better performance out of the York.

The York is actually the way to go. The Toyota was easier until I install the 4.3.

Thanks for all of your input :).  I'm not sure I want to convert my a/c, I do need it especially in the winter for defrosting, but in the summer I take the doors off anyways.  I crunched some numbers about air flow for the ARB and the Puma one for sale on ebay, and the specs for the ARB says it pumps out 24 liters/min. (.85 cfm) and the puma supposedly pumps 3.4 cfm at 40psi. The quickAir3 pumps 2.05 cfm @ 40psi ($399).  I think I'm gonna try the puma compressor and see how it does.  3.4 cfm is probably pretty close to the CO2 or A/C rates.  I'm planning on bidding on it Monday so if anyone has more advice, I'd be grateful.
