To straighten frame on get a new one

  Let me start this by saying that before my last trip out, I had been planning to strip and rework the suspension and axles after the trip. So last time out, I bent my driver front frame. About 2 feet back from the front corner on the frame, there is a circular hole punched from the factory. That hole now has a decent bump on the bottom of it where the frame bent and bumped out. The driver front corner is now about 1.5" lower than it used to be. I can't really see spending the coin to take it to a shop to have it straightened.
  My thought on a home fix is to some how hold the frame with chain or a strong strap to the floor (maybe utilizing a snatch block for a downward pull), heat the bumped spot on the frame and lift the front corner with a high lift (or bottle jack for a bit more precision) until it "appears" to be correct. Another option is to find another first gen shortbed frame, swap all my crap to it, and then do all the mods I was planning to in the first place. Last option is to find a half way decent truck for cheap, swap all my stuff onto it (saving an engine/body swap), and then doing my mods to it.
  Give me some input. Would like to try the new setup in the snow before the season is over but I need a platform to build off of.

just swap everything over to a bew frame.. itll take a full weekend.

Know of anyone who has a first gen frame cheap? long or short doesn't matter because it'd loose a bit of frame either way.

$50... has 2" box tubing welded on for a body lift.

mine was bent in the same way only on the pass side.
used two backhoes (one to hold one to pull) and a torch.
pulled it right back where it should be.
not an easy task but it worked.

maybe.. ill get the demensions on it today and let you make that decision... probably will but will hang over a bit for sure..

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Just with some quick numbers it looked like it will hang out a few feet. Any chance you'd meet me in Kettleman with it.
