in the mean time, my neighbors must love this!  About the only thing I can do.  Been up since Tuesday night when I noticed.   Hopefully it makes the neighborhood a little more aware, so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I like the sign Werm. Sorry to hear about your tools. If you are going to keep your tool box in the back, make a more secure way to lock it up, or put it in the truck!

I'd donate to your tool fund, but im working on a new tool box myself.

Bummer that blows.

If you need tools gimme a call (you have my number), I probably have some you can have.  I also have a buttload you can barrow.  You can pick up or I can drop off.

Rocksurfer

I had someone take my gas can out of the back of my truck last year, pissed me off big-time. Then an amazing thing happened, whoever took it returned it with a note saying thanks and sorry he had to take it but he was out of gas and needed it. He even refilled it.

You guys are awesome, I think Wermy's new box is gonna be better than is old one. Wish I could contribute but all my old tools went into making up sets for the bays at the shop and when I left I didn't take them.

fordh8r

The lecture here doesn't apply to leaving stuff in the back of your rig because mine got stolen outa the cab. Some douches got in my truck and stole a similar box off the front seat.

I'm not one to have normally left stuff in my truck but I was really tired that night and thought, "what the heck, one night won't hurt anything".  Boy was I wrong.  :smack:  :wall:  Yeah, that was an expensive mistake.

My lesson learned from that incident?...."take it out even if you're tired. It only takes a minute or two to take it out and much longer to cover the cost to replace it". Hard lesson learned I'll tell ya.  :(

Been there done that....  :therethere:

DTB

How about leaving your toolbox on the bed and driving off?

What does that count for?

:talkingn:

haha oh man that sucked
