Sierra Sky Ranch Road 1/24/09
« on: Jan 24, 2009, 08:01:13 PM »
The trip started from Sierra Sky Ranch with the destination Big Sandy.  The snow got to deep, but we made Little Sandy Creek.  Here are some pics.  Enjoy the pictures, hope to see you on the trail.

Did you get rid of your truck Bevin?

Looks like the snow is a bit wetter on the other side of the hill. It was super dry @ Bald last weekend if you broke through the crust.

Looks like you had fun, one question, where was everyone else?  You know it's not wise to wheel alone. :therethere:

We had a group from our club go towards Chilkoot.  Same area above Oakhurst, Ca.  for those of you that don't know.

Here is their trip report Don't mind the Jeeps, they got towed out by the 4Runner.  :smack:

the fire road that we drove up on was flat :blah: the runner is locked at both ends a shovel strong back  and some help from a winch the traction was incredible!
