look for a Ford 9" instead.
84 Toyota- Cost $800, BS 3" Rancho Lift, Worn out RS5000s, 32" A/T's, Burned up Radio, New Plugs, and Wires

86 Chevy- Cost $500, Dead Battery, Out of Registration, No Inspection, a few holes in the bed

03 F150- Cost I still cry about, K&N FIPK, Dumped Flowmaster, Pioneer Head Unit and AMP, 4 ways and 10" Sub
03 F150- Company Truck, Stupid useless tonneau cover, stupid sticker telling everyone who I work for, wasted space in my driveway

The ford 9 is another choice of mine that is high up, but the 8" would serve my purpose for awhile, I just figured being a toyota board the 8's would be more popular.

Yo yo Cherokee91red,are you looking for a Toyota 8 inch,or a Ford 8.8 inch?...I would look for a Dana 44,out of another xj.(direct bolt in),and a pretty strong axle.Or an 8.8 inch out of a Ford Explorer,with disk brakes.

But if you really want a Toy 8" (Ive heard that strength wise there neck to neck with the D44's) I would get one from a newer V6 truck or 4Runner

The XJ 44's are bolt in, but the yota 8" have a better clearance and are just as if not stronger than an XJ44. Plus the 6lug pattern is more to my liking with strength concerns. The 8.8 was an idea but it's wms-wms is shorter by a couple inches. I would rather have full width if I can find the 9". Plus, whats all the fun with a bolt-in? I can't do anything the easy way. :screwy:

I'm riding a 4in Rubicon lift. 31's, hacked fenders, can fit 33's. Rustys' t-case skid. Rocky Road Outfitters rock sliders. Custom 4x4 Fab front winch bumper. Custom made bed in back. Right now I'm at a stopping point and looking for another vehicle. My next step, why I need a second vehicle, is Hp44 front, rear axle TBD, 4.56 or 4.88 gears. True-trac up front, Aussie or detroit in the rear. Tom Woods HD SYE. All that is going to be done at once so I need the other car to get around while the Jeeps in my back yard.

Cool...im looking into getting myself a set of 33's while I get enough money for a lift  :headshake: all im going to do is either get a 2" body lift or crank up the TB's and add coilspacers :dunno:

I know I don't have a yota, and I own a unibody, but I would not recommend you install a body lift. It does allow more tire room but it doesn't increase flex and by lifting the body off the frame if you're in a wreckl the body can fly right off, leaving a frame rolling down the road. I know people this has happened to.

Hey Swamper, the whole thing about people saying,"the body can fly right off, leaving a frame rolling down the road",is a bunch of BS :bull crap:.....I've had friends that have ran 1 and 2 inch bodylifts, and wheeled pretty hard, and have never seen this happen......I think the only way this would be possible is if you attached the blocks with bubble gum instead of the bolts.....Or if you were driving at 290 miles per hour :driving:,into the side of a semi trailer....If you need the clearence to run you 33s,I would crank the torsions, and add the coil spacers in the rear.I'd try to stay away from the BL,but not for the above reason..I just dont like them, but if that's what you decide to go with,,,cool.
