bead lock ring torque

I was wondering if anyone knows the torque spec for a walker evans bead lock ring?

I'm guessing about 5 - 10 ft/lbs and tighten them in a star like pattern.  If you tighten them to tight it makes the bead lock ring bow inside and you don't get a very good seal.

The instructions on my Champion Bead locks says:
10 FT/LB for 1/4" Diameter Bolts or
15 FT/LB for 5/16" Diameter Bolts
