I am building my first project and i am going to run a 22RE two T cases and 37's. I want to keep it as drivable as possible will 4.88's work?

KYOTA

yep and stronger. hell I'm still 4.88 on 40's  :talkingn:

ElkoToy

Thank you. I am sure I will have a million more before this thing is done.

i would say 5.29's  why make the 22re work harder than it has too :dunno:

4.88's are stronger.  you won't see very much of a difference in performance between the two either.

i have a 22re   and i run 36 iroks  with 4.88  its a dd  I  drive it 200 plus miles a day   But it rarely sees 5 th gear     about 75 mph its at 3200 rpms  in 4th  .   I would suggest 5.29  if its a dd    that is what i want to swap to .

Slolyfe

Im running 5.29s with 37s and a really hopped up 22r and it is balanced pretty well. about 75mph at 3000 rpm in 5th and ive never broken a r&p

5.29's would be a better gearing choice, but 4.88's a much stronger. I would make my choice on how hard I'm going to beat on them. I am usually easy on my junk so I'd go with 5.29's. If you are a little hard on the skinny 4.88's would be best.
