I've been seeing more and more cast steering arm failures recently. These cast arms seem to often have holes in them and weak spots that cause failure, sometimes with loss of steering.

So you're taking All-Poo's cast arms in trade or did Marlin make cast arms at one time before the billet arms?

Marlin sold about 200 kits using AP arms before switching to the Billet arms.

We offering the exchange on any broken cast arms, no matter where you purchased them.

Well I would like to exchange every set of the planet but lets look at the math. AP claims to have shipped 5,000 sets. We have swapped out two sets. That leaves 4,998 sets. Our cost on a pair of arms is $160. Thats $799,680 plus shipping.  I just can't afford that this week and still maintain our R&D budget.

If Marlin sold 200 sets, how many has AP sold?  I read in one ad over 5000 sold.   Because with only two retruns in a month and a half, it doesn't seem to be a problem.  That is like 0.04% faliure rate. Or am I wrong?  I am thinking percentage wise.  Are the billet ones the same price?

I spoke with Sky of Skys off road, he says he knows of ten people that have broken AP arms including one guy that has broken 3 sets of AP cast arms!

this is not the problem, those arm should not fail like this and the only reason they fail is cause they aren't X-rayed to check for air bubble.
car companies, if they find something dangerous like that will do a recall even if it happen on 100 of the 100000 sold if it treaten the life of the buyer it's not good and the people who sold it are exposed to serious trouble.

Imagine a steering arm failing at 70 on the freeway, you don't have the control of the car avymore and could kill other people.

steering part made of cast iron should be X-rayed even if you have to charge more for it your life and the life of people who seround you is worth more then a couple of $
